FINEEC, The Finnish Education Evaluation Centre

FINEEC is an independent governmental authority operating as a separate unit of the Finnish National Agency for Education. FINEEC acts as an expert organisation in the evaluation of education and early childhood education and care (ECEC).

 

FINEEC produces evaluation-based information to support decision-making in education policy as well as the development of education and ECEC. Among its responsibilities, FINEEC conducts national large-scale assessments of pupils’ learning outcomes. FINEEC’s personnel comprises approximately 40 people, with an additional 200 external experts participating annually in conducting evaluations.
