MapIE is a research project funded by Horizon Europe spanning across five Northern and Central European countries for the period between 2024-2028. Our main goal is to identify what mechanisms cause inequalities in education and what policies measures and interventions exist to compensate for them in the context of Finland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, and Hungary.

Within national contexts and using comparative research designs, we address the school-, region-, and system-level policies and practices as well as pupil individual-level factors (e.g., socioecomonic status, sex, etc.) that contribute to the development of educational inequalities in secondary education in Partner countries.

Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the European Research Executive Agency. Neither the European Union nor the granting authority can be held responsible for them.
