Alli Klapp is Associate Professor in Education and Head of the Department for Education and Special Education at the University of Gothenburg. Her research interest is within the assessment field and more specifically the consequences of different assessment and grading practices for students learning and academic achievement. Currently, Klapp is leading several research projects focusing on factors influencing students´ school-related well-being, older individuals´ learning and the importance of students´ self-beliefs for academic achievement. Klapp’s methodological interest is within advanced quantitative methods, such as multilevel and longitudinal data analysis. Klapp is director of the Evaluation through Follow-up infrastructure which includes a longitudinal survey study with a 10 percent representative sample of students. Questionnaire and register data are collected from age 10 until the students leave upper secondary school at age 19.
