The MapIE consortium returned to Szeged, Hungary, for an inspiring and productive consortium meeting hosted at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences on 21-22 April. This was the third consortium meeting overall, and the second to be hosted in Hungary. All partners were well represented, which underlines the strong engagement within the project.
Bringing partners together face to face, the meeting provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on our progress, strengthen collaboration across the consortium, and build shared momentum for the next stages of the project.
Over the course of the meeting days, team members exchanged updates on ongoing activities across the work packages as well as project coordination, and discussed future priorities. An official General Assembly meeting was also held to address a few governance-related topics. The meeting days ended with informal dinners – the perfect time to enjoy local cuisine and catch up with colleagues!
The visit concluded with the CEA 2026 conference, which offered additional opportunities for dialogue and knowledge exchange. MapIE had a strong presence at the conference, with two symposiums dedicated to the project and several team members contributing in other key roles.
